Each cushion is carefully handcrafted by me using fabric that holds special meaning to you—this might be clothing from a loved one, baby clothes, or fabric from a wedding or another significant event. I lovingly transform these fabrics into a beautiful, comforting cushion that serves as a unique and personalised tribute to your memories.

You can customise your Memory Cushion with embroidery—add a name, date, or special message to make it even more meaningful.

I create each cushion with great care and attention to detail, using only high-quality materials. Every cushion is handmade in my studio, making each one truly unique.

Returns & Refunds

I want you to be completely happy with your handmade Keepsake. If there’s a problem with your order, please get in touch with me as soon as possible to discuss.

Custom orders (made from your clothing) are not eligible for returns or exchanges unless there’s a fault in the workmanship. Non-custom items can be returned in their original condition within 14 days. Once I receive the item, I can offer a refund (minus original postage) or send a replacement—your choice. Return postage is your responsibility, and I recommend keeping proof of postage.

Shipping fees are non-refundable. If you're exchanging a non-custom item, I’ll cover the cost of sending the replacement.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method once I receive and check the returned item.

Shipping Policy

At The Crafty Butterfly, I offer a simple and transparent shipping policy to ensure that your handmade Keepsake is delivered safely and promptly. Here are the details of my shipping policy:

Processing time: Each Memory Bear is handmade to order, and processing can take up to four weeks. Once your order is placed, I will provide you with an estimated processing time and keep you updated on its progress.

Shipping method: I ship all Memory Bears using a reliable, tracked shipping service. This ensures your bear arrives safely and allows you to track its journey online.

Shipping fees: Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your location and the size and weight of your order.

Delivery time: Delivery time depends on your location and the shipping method chosen. Once your order has shipped, I will send you a tracking number so you can follow your bear’s journey to your doorstep.

What types of clothing can be used to make a Memory Cushion? I can make your Memory Cushion from almost any fabric item—shirts, dresses, skirts, blouses, jackets, jumpers, or other meaningful garments.

How much clothing is needed? For a standard-size Memory Cushion, I usually need 1–2 adult clothing items, such as a shirt, top, jumper, cardigan, blouse, or t-shirt.

Should the clothing be washed before sending? Yes, I recommend washing the clothing before sending it to me. This helps prevent shrinkage or damage during the making process.

What if the clothing is damaged or stained? Minor damage or stains can often be included as part of the cushion’s charm. If the fabric is too damaged or heavily stained, I’ll use other areas of the garment where possible.

Can the Memory Cushion be washed? Yes, the cushion cover can be washed gently with mild detergent. Please avoid bleach or harsh chemicals to protect the fabric. I recommend air drying to avoid shrinkage. The insert can be removed before washing by unbuttoning the front.

Can I add embroidery? Absolutely! If you'd like embroidery added, please mention it when ordering. Unless otherwise requested, I usually place it on the right-hand side of the cushion when viewed from the front. If there’s a pocket in the way, I’ll position the embroidery above or below it.

The cushion measures approximately 45cm x 45cm and includes the inner insert.
