About Me
I’ve always understood how deeply we want to hold onto the memories of those we’ve loved and lost. That feeling became very real for me when my nana passed away from breast cancer in 2013.
With a small inheritance she left me, I bought my first sewing machine and began teaching myself how to sew. It wasn’t long before I created my first memory bear—something tangible and comforting to hold onto in her absence. That one bear sparked a passion I couldn’t ignore.
Life got busy with a full-time job and two little ones, so the idea of turning my hobby into a business had to wait. But in 2016, after the birth of my third child, Louis, I felt a strong pull to bring The Crafty Butterfly to life properly.
Since then, I’ve poured my heart into crafting memory bears and keepsakes that help others honour their own special people and moments. Each piece I make is a privilege—handmade with love, care, and the kind of meaning only personal memories can bring.
I’m so proud to help keep those memories close for families across the UK and beyond.
